5 Things to Try This Weekend: January 17 - 19



1. Make no-bake cookies. I am not in the mood for a baking/grilling/frying/crock-potting. So, I will no-bake this weekend. Plus, who doesn't love no-bake cookies?

2. Do a t-shirt project. I've been saving all my old T-shirts for a while now, so this weekend, I'd like to craft one into something new. Maybe like one of these things:

3. Look good working out. There are so many cute workout clothes and I got some great leggings for Christmas. I plan to put together a workout outfit so I can look good, even when I sweat. Sunday is supposed to be 53 degrees...MKT trail, here I come!

4. Clean up my computer. This includes, but is not limited to: emptying and organizing my inbox, deleting Google drive documents I don't need, moving all photos from my phone and camera into their appropriate folders, delete all unnecessary files from my computer, back-up everything to my hard drive, etc.

5. Perform a random act of kindness. Thank you Jordan (JES marketing partner in crime) for this great idea. I like it, because I don't have to plan anything, but all weekend I'll be thinking about being kind...eh, eh?

1. Make no-bake cookies. I made the heck out some no-bake cookies...only, apparently no one likes this kind of cookie. But I DO, so more for me.

2. Do a t-shirt project. This actually turned into two t-shirt projects including the crop top (pictured above) and a scarf...which I don't know that I'll actually wear. I discovered this trick on Pinterest where you turn old t-shirts into "yarn." See how on this link.

3. Look good working out. Ironically, I looked much better in this outfit than I did huffing and puffing on the trail that day. I don't know why, but I was a pathetic mess on my Sunday run. Discouraging.

4. Clean up my computer. Done. Unfortunately, my computer just seems to be old and there's not much I can do make it run any faster, but it is good to know I'm doing all I can...and when the thing dies, I won't lose anything.

5. Perform a random act of kindness. It wasn't much, but I did take a woman's cart back into Walmart for her. What I liked about the thing was that all morning, while I ran errands, I was totally aware of how to be kinder to people. It's a mindset, ya know? It's good for you're mental health to not HATE the people crossing the parking lot like turtles...but just to kindly love them and get on with your life. I'd like to try to apply this more to my life: just being kind.
