5 Things To Try This Weekend: February 7 - 9

Last weekend, I posted my #5things, clocked out at work and hit a parked car. Pretty much all of my weekend plans were put on hold, seeing that I couldn't drive to Kansas City and I definitely couldn't bear the thought of wearing a beanie. I did, however, make my pizza poppers for the Super Bowl and they turned out deliciously. Please forgive the repeats, but I really haven't gotten to do these #5things yet, so I'm gonna give this post another go!

1. Dinner (or lunch) and movie. The first movie on our itinerary is Dallas Buyers Club at the Alamo Drafthouse...where you can, apparently, eat lunch!

2. Craft Valentine's Day gifts. I was able to brainstorms some Valentine's Day ideas, so I'll put those together this weekend and mail them out next week. Get ready for some friend lovin' my long distance pals!

3. Attempt a beanie. You heard me...a BEANIE. I do not wear them, but all my bloggers do and they look darn cool. I think it'll be fun to try for the snowy weather. Let's hope I can pull it off!

4. Catch up on the Oscar nominees. Mom and the sister and I are taking a little weekend trip to Kansas City. We're staying in the guest loft of one of the properties my company owns and we're hopping around the theatres and seeing these: 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club, Philomena, HER. Mom already has the itinerary mapped out...of course. I'm so excited!

5. Bond with my mom and sister. There will be puns and mocking and sarcasm, as there always is in our family and I am definitely looking forward to it.

1. Dinner (or lunch) and movie. The Almo atmosphere was super cool. They played the funniest videos before the previews, like this one, if you didn't think Matthew McConaughey was cool enough.

They had a pretty neat system for taking orders during the movie...however...the food was dreadful. Like, so cold and disappointing.

2. Craft Valentine's Day gifts. I actually crafted these over my snow day on the week before this weekend, but I'm still counting it. I hope all my long-distance friends are excited to get this little jar of love.

3. Attempt a beanie. Well, what do you think? Did I pull it off? Becca had to help me out a little bit.

4. Catch up on the Oscar nominees. Well, we're 8 for 9. We pooped out on 12 Years a Slave, but I've officially seen all the others! I'll get that last one before the Oscars. And there will be a review of the best picture nominees, don't you worry.

5. Bond with my mom and sister. There will be puns and mocking and sarcasm, and I forgot to mention: combat boots. You know I hate matching, but with this weather...you have to take desperate measures. We had such a fun time together and big thanks to mom for taking us around the town for dinner, shows and Instagrams.
