5 Things to Try This Weekend: February 14 - 16

1. Indulge in chocolate-covered strawberries. Well, it's Valentine's Day and I lovvvvve strawberries. Plus, JES Holdings made them! A box of six for $10 and the money goes towards the Rootin' Tootin' Chili Cook-Off. What a deal!

2. Create a playlist of love. You know...love songs. That are awesome.

3. Put together a Valentine's Day outfit. Since we have a marketing department of six girls, we had to celebrate with a GALentine's party. And a GALentine's party isn't complete without six adorable red and pink outfits, of course.

4. Evaluate my house hunting. Big news: I'm buying a house! I went with a real estate agent today to look at some places and I'm all kinds of excited. I need to mull over what I've seen and put together a pro-con list.

5. Love somebody. I'm so lucky to have so many people to love! I've already sent out my Valentines to friends and my sister (gooey butter cake...with a powdered sugar heart...so perfect) and now I've just got the boyfriend left...but he's easy. Beef jerky and Imo's pizza. DONE. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Have a great weekend.

1. Indulge in chocolate-covered strawberries. Thank you JES Holdings! We loved the strawberries. They were the perfect dessert to our fancy Vday pizza dinner.

2. Create a playlist of love. I wish I wouldn't have picked this one. I already have a kickin' love song playlist. So instead, I just listened to a playlist of love this weekend.

3. Put together a Valentine's Day outfit. Our GALentine's Day Party was a big success. Look how adorably red and pink we all were. In an ideal world...where the weather doesn't suck all the time...I would've worn a skirt. But I had to work with the jeans. It was fun to wear the red heals with jeans though. Not many opportunities to pull that off.

4. Evaluate my house hunting. Friday was a little overwhelming. Taking in all those houses was a lot to handle, but it helped to sit down and make a pro-con list of the ones I liked. My first issue of House Beautiful also arrived this weekend, so if every I got overwhelmed thinking about buying a house, I could always take a break to dream about decorating one!

5. Love somebody. Aaron's an easy one love...just feed in a little Imo's pizza and he's happy. In our efforts to save money (for like, I don't know...a HOUSE or something) we didn't do gifts. Just a happy little date night with pizza. I was talking with Allie and Rachel on Saturday and we all agreed it was nice to have a Vday without any kind of expectation to get a big gift and do something fantastic and magical. It's nice to just know there's someone you love to spend the evening with.
